Heinen Named 2015 Kansas High School Player Of The Year

This week we will be rolling out the 2015 Prep Baseball Report Kansas High School Player of the Year, Pitcher of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and Coach of the Year awards. Today we get it started with the Player of the Year honors.
Topeka Hayden senior RHP/1B Brogan Heinen, last spring’s KABC 4A-I Player of the Year and the 2015 KABC 4A-I Pitcher of the Year, has been named the 2015 Prep Baseball Report Kansas High School Player of the Year.
The Kansas State commit went 8-0 with a 0.65 ERA and two saves while pitching 53 innings, giving up 26 hits, seven runs, 15 walks and striking out 70. When it mattered the most, in the state playoffs, Heinen elevated his performance going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA in 13 innings pitched.
Heinen also hit .452 with nine doubles, a triple, three home runs and drove in 30 runs to help lead Hayden to the Centennial League regular season title, the KSHSAA 4A-I State Championship and a 24-1 record overall.
