Today we take a look several prospects that made their way into the updated list.
Alan Kivett RHP / 3B / Warren Central, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 20 / POS: 4
A two-way player for his high school, Kivett has shown smooth actions defensively as well as solid arm strength jumping on the mound. At the plate the right-handed hitter hits out of an athletic set-up with a swing that is short and simple to the ball. The hands have life and work freely to contact. On the mound the right-hander works with command of fastball running it up to 86 mph. |
Lee Burrow SS / Hernando, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 21 / POS: 5
Standing a projectable 6-foot-5, 185-pounds with wiry-athleticism, and room to continue filling out. On the mound he works from a medium, high-3/4 arm stroke and fluid rhythm throughout his delivery, running his fastball up to 84 mph, pitching 83-84 mph. Although the secondary pitches are still developing, the breaking ball showed 11/5-shape at 69-70 mph with occasional depth and tight spin. The upside for Burrow is evident when watching him, and velocity should continue to rise as he continues to physically mature. |
Blaise Breerwood SS / 2B / Poplarville, MS / 2020Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 6
Breerwood, who is still physically maturing displayed fluid actions on the infield with loose strokes at the plate at the recent Preseason Prospect ID. An athletic 6-foot, 165-pound frame with plenty of room for projection; Breerwood has display early in his career the potential to turn into a solid middle-of-the-field defender. Offensively, he shows a simple, repeatable right-handed stroke with bat speed and a obvious feel to put the barrel on the baseball. |
