Matt Miller
State Director

EMERSON, GA - The 9th Annual PBR Jr. Future Games kicked off its first day of pool play games with each team playing a single game across both age groups on Wednesday. After taking part in a pro-style workout Tuesday, teams were eager to compete against other states while representing their own state. With numerous college coaches watching on as teams competed throughout the day at LakePoint Sports in Emerson, GA, numerous players from Team Mississippi showed out during their time at LakePoint.

This event runs in conjunction with the PBR Future Games. The Future Games features the top uncommitted players in the Class of 2024 and 2025 from across the Prep Baseball Report’s 40+ state coverage area. It is one of the most highly recruited events of the summer and attracts more than 300 college coaches from across the country each year.

Today, we take a look back with a brief recap of some of the player's who stood out for both of the Mississippi Junior Future teams.

Mississippi 13U

Reed Sandberg OF / 1B / Madison Central, MS / 2027

Was a difficult out for opposing pitchers throughout the week at LakePoint Sports. Collected seven base knocks and brought home four RBI's for Team Mississippi. Smooth stroke from the left-side, gap-to-gap approach with some pop.

Eli Bagley 2B / OF / Hernando, MS / 2027

Another key contributor to the offense over the week, Bagley had one of the more impressive round during the workout on Tuesday. During gameplay, gathered five knocks and also snagged five RBI's. Made a pair of appearances on the mound as well. Intriguing follow in the 2027 class.

Tre Adcox RHP / 3B / Forest, MS / 2027

A lot to like from the left-handed hitting corner infielder who can also hop on the mound and compete. Adcox had a solid offense showing both during the workout and in gameplay for Mississippi. Had four hits, two of which were for extra bases and also recorded three RBI's as well.

Wyatt McDaniels C / 3B / Mooreville , MS / 2027

McDaniels also made some noise with the bat over his stay at LakePoint this past week. The lean, athletic right-handed hitter has plenty of room to add to his frame and develop more strength. During gameplay, collected three base knocks and brought in four RBI's for Mississippi. Short and direct path to contact.

Sullivan Reed 3B / 1B / Meridian, MS / 2027

Is a big physical presence in the right-handed side of the box. Standing at 6-foot-0, 220-pounds, swings the bat with some aggressive hacks. Had some clutch moments for the 13U Mississippi team, including a big walk off double. During the workout on Tuesday, posted some of the higher EV's during the event and a few in the upper-90's with a top EV at 97 mph.

Mississippi 14U

Cayden Prestage OF / LHP / Itawamba, MS / 2026

Is as athletic as they come, advanced and mature approach for his age. Shows the ability to use all parts of the field with a short, compact and line drive approach. Over the stretch at LakePoint, Prestage reached base five times via a base hit and also brought in five RBI's for Team Mississippi. The lefty also doubles as a high level arm down the road on the mound.

Taylor Latham OF / RHP / Hartfield Academy, MS / 2026

Another player who made an impact with the stick over the week was right-hander Taylor Latham. Gathering four hits during the week, also came through with runners in scoring position and racked up five total RBI's. Also made an appearance on the mound during the week for our 14U team.

Ayden Wilbanks SS / RHP / Kossuth  MS / 2026

An uber athletic, dual guy who made the trip over to LakePoint this past week. Wilbanks gathered two hits and brought in one run for his squad. Where he caught some attention was on the mound, the right-hander worked in the low-80's and topped out at 84 mph during his outing.
