Cooper Ingle: PBR Player of the Week - April 30 - May 6

Brandon Hall
North Carolina Director of Scouting

Player of the Week nominations are submitted by High School coaches across North Carolina each week.  Along with the nominations, Prep Baseball Report is diving into box scores, talking to coaches and scouts, and attending as many games as possible.

The week of April 30 – May 6 saw the end of the regular season and conference tournaments dominating the schedule across the state.  Teams were vying for championships and working to secure their place in the state tournment.

AC Reynolds played TC Roberson in a two game series to decide the Western Mountain 3A conference championship.  Reynolds would secure the championship with a decisive sweep.  En route to the two wins, Sophomore catcher Cooper Ingle had a huge week at the plate pacing the Rockets.  In the two game series, Ingle was 7-9 in 10 plate appearances, hitting .778 with two doubles and a home run.  He pounded out 7 RBI and scored 4 runs all while working with Rocket pitchers behind the plate.  PBR was on hand for game 1 of the series with stats, highlights, and a player evaluation on Ingle.  You can see the Daily Roundup HERE.

The two game performance has earned Cooper Ingle the PBR Player of the Week for April 30 – May 6.  Fifteen players earned a mention after their performances last week and they are listed below, with their accomplishments as well.
