8/01/22

Cape Cod: A breakout star for Clemson this spring, Ingle hit .351/.449/.526 with eight homers and more walks (38) than whiffs (29) in 211 at-bats for the Tigers. His calling card is his selective approach, as he also walked (30) more than he struck out (28) in the Cape this summer. The lefthanded-hitting Ingle uses a quiet, upright setup with his hands set low in front of him, and his flat swing is oriented toward line-drive, gap-to-gap contact. He'll need to develop more lift in his swing to convert some of his doubles into home runs, but his hit tool is his biggest strength. In one of our looks, Ingle worked a 10-pitch at-bat that resulted in a hard opposite-field single against a quality curveball, a prime example of his innate feel to hit.

Clemson commit.  Strength is present with a broad shoulders at 5-foot-10, 170 pounds.  Plus carry with a solid exchange from behind the dish.  Workout pop times ranging 1.93 – 2.05.  Left handed hitter works from an open stance using a leg kick to load with bat lag at launch.  Good rhythm in the feet and hands.  High barrel awareness with bat speed.  Loud contact in BP and in game play.

5/08/18

5 feet 8, 160 pound build. Athletic defender behind the plate with a low setup and good hip flexibility. Above average receiver and blocker with good feel for the game. Shows quick feet throwing between innings with a 1.96 pop time. Also, recorded a 2.03 pop time from his knees. Hits from the left side with an open, athletic stance. Uses a small leg kick for his load with good rhythm, loose hands and above average bat speed. Good game swings getting on top of a high fastball for a deep fly ball to right field, stayed through a 2 strike curveball for a base hit up the middle, and doubled to left field on a fastball.
