Team Carolina Preview: NC Pitchers

Carson Starnes

Carson Starnes RHP / SS / Parkwood, NC / 2021

6-foot-3, 170 pounder creates high level arm speed with a fastball that bumped 89 at the PBR National Championships this past weekend.  Still plenty of room to his ceiling as the body continues to fill out.  Slider has a chance to play at an elite level.

Jordan Little RHP / OF / Hickory Grove Christian , NC / 2021

6-foot-4, 175 pounds.  Fastball will run up to 90 mph.  Has run a sub-7.10 sixty for PBR.  Strength with quickness present, Little has a very high ceiling he is just beginning to scratch.

Michael Colonna RHP / OF / Weddington, NC / 2022

Breakout star from the spring where he spent much of his FR year throwing for Weddington's JV squad, before a call up at spring break to get ready for the post-season.  A two-sport star, Colonna is a WR on the football team too.  The arm works with ease and the ball jumps out of the hand.  The slider will have a chance to be advanced in the near future.

Cyle Phelan LHP / OF / Fuquay Varina, NC / 2021

Physical lefty has strength and quickness.  Has been up to 87 with some ease.  Big over-hand breaking ball with depth has ranged 71-74.  Potential dual guy for some clubs, will focus on pitching at the Future Games.
