Most Viewed in NC - No. 7 anderson nance
When a player is highly ranked and uncommitted, it can create some buzz around the profile, but also create expectations for the player, sometimes that are not fair. Anderson Nance, RHP/SS from Morehead HS entered the year as the top ranked player in the 2024 class. With his performance on the national stage, as a member of Team Carolina at the PBR Future Games, Nance lived up to the billing and exceeded expectations from many, as high as they may have been. Shortly after the Future Games, Nance committed to North Carolina State.
Scout Notes -- PBR Future Games (AUG 2022)
Nance answered the bell, putting up big numbers in Team Carolina’s 2nd game. The righty pumped strikes showing the ability to move his fastball in and out while also elevating at times. Ranging 88-92, the frame suggests there is still more growth coming to the pitch as he continues to fill out. An athletic and quick arm, the fastball routinely beat hitters from both sides of the plate. Nance had average feel for a short slider at 76-77.
