Myers Park Downs Lake Norman in Thriller

Myers Park  2       Lake Norman  1

On a cold windy night where every pop- up was an adventure Myers Park got a timely hit in the first inning that proved to be enough.  Pitching was strong on both sides and Myers Park got a big defensive play in the 6th inning with two outs from third basemen Preston Hall ranging in the hole making the play with runners on 2nd and 3rd to get out of the inning.  The two run first proved to be the difference as Myers Park slipped past Lake Norman 2-1.
