Durham Academy visited the Indian Trail, NC area and Metrolina Christian Academy on Friday afternoon.  An unearned run in the top of the 5th proved to be the difference as the Cavs took the road victory.

Jackson Niedel worked 6 innings in the win, giving up only 3 hits and 1 walk, limiting the MCA offense.  Ethan Goldstein worked a perfect 9th to secure the save.  MCA stayed in the game behind the performance of Oliver Adams who went 7 innings, striking out 8.

William Chen led off the 5th for the Cavaliers with a single to center.  He advanced to 2nd and 3rd via wild pitches.  With one out, he would score on a wild pitch as well.

Durham Academy moves to 3-1 and will play Westchester Country Day on Monday.  Metrolina Christian drops to 2-2 and will be at Gaston Day on Tuesday.
