West Johnston Sr. Mathew Hall threw a complete game at SSS racking up 7 K's, while walking 2 and giving up 0 earned runs.  Neither team played well on the defensive side, but West Johnston took command of the game early, ending it with the 10 run rule.  


West plated 6 in the 1st and 5 in the 4th to build the 13-1 lead.  The game was ended after 5 innings.  West totaled 5 hits in the game to Smithfield Selma’s 3.

 

West Johnston moves to 3-7, 2-2 in the Quad County 3A. They will host CB Aycock on Tuesday and Hunt on Friday, both conference games. Smithfield Selma drops to 4-5, 1-3 in the league. They will be at Southern Wayne on Tuesday and host CB Aycock on Thursday.
