New Hanover- 2  Orange- 1

Marren would steal 2nd and cleanup hitter Luca Kellog would draw a 2-out walk allowing setting up a Bromley Thornton double to center to score 2 runs.

Orange would waste no time answering in the bottom half of the 1st. Panther leadoff hitter David Waitt singled to right, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a Jackson Berini line drive to right. After the Berini single, Wildcats starter Bromley Thornton retired the next three hitters in order.
