Nine to Know: NC Prospects in the Updated 2022 Rankings

Just prior to the Thanksgiving holiday, PBR updated the Class of 2022 Overall Rankings, expanding the rankings to the top 400 players from across the country.  North Carolina was well represented with 20 players in the list, including Ryan Clifford (OF, Leesville Road HS) who checks in at No. 1 overall.

The twenty players from North Carolina represent each region of North Carolina, stretching from the mountains to the coastal area.  There are seven primary pitchers, four outfielders, four catchers and five infielders.  The top two players in the rankings from North Carolina are uncommitted with thirteen of the top 20 already committed.

Below we take a look at nine players from North Carolina who are in the Top 400 overall in the 2022 class.  Each player has stats, a full evaluation, and video on the PBR system.  While we are still very early in the 2022 class’s progression, the North Carolina class looks to be very deep and very talented as we begin to learn more about them.
