Nine to Know: Top Uncommitted Catcher Arms

Brandon Hall
Executive Director, PBR of NC

PBR scouts work relentlessly to see as many games, practices, and workouts as possible, across the state of North Carolina.  At pro-style workouts, the catchers will be evaluated receiving, blocking, hitting, and throwing.  On the pop time throws, PBR scouts are able to measure the time and accuracy of throws while also getting a read for pure arm strength out of the crouch.  All of this information can be presented to college coaches and scouts, allowing them to project players as they continue to grow.  Below are the top 9 velocity readings from catchers, working out of the crouch.  Each of these players remains uncommitted at this time.
