Rawlings Prospects Scout Day: Quick Hitters- Pitchers
August 14, 2021
PBR was on hand with the Rawlings Prospects for an organization scout day on Thursday August 5th, 2021. The scout day took place at Jim Perry Stadium on the campus of Campbell University.
The day started with catchers going through their defensive evaluation making throws to second base with cameras, stop watches, and radar guns collecting numbers. Pitchers followed by throwing a controlled bullpen of 15-20 pitches with Trackman gathering ball flight analytics. Position players then ran a laser timed 60 and took live batting practice on the field with Trackman collecting ball flight data. Then day concluded with outfielders and infielders going through a defensive evaluation.
Below we take a look at some of the statistical leaders during the scout day.
