Charlotte Catholic Posts Signature Victory Over Ardrey Kell

Coming into the game undeafeted in conference play at 6-0, Charlotte Catholic faced perennial SW4A power Ardrey Kell.  A classic pitcher's dual turned into an exciting finish in extra innings for the home team Cougars in a 3-2 walk off win.

Catholic pitcher 2017 Aaron Mitchell pitched 8 solid innings for the victory.  With one out in the bottom of the 8th, Catholic coaxed three walks from Kell relievers, while down 2-1.  With the bases full, Nick Borda (2017) lined a single to left center field, driving in two runs, giving Catholic the walk off win.

In the loss, Ardrey Kell starter, Trey Tujetsch (RHP/OF, 2019) was dynamic.  Tujetsch worked 7.1 innings, striking out 9 and only giving up one run, coming off an error in the first.
