Stewart Throws No-Hitter, Isaac Homers in East Forsyth Win

PBR of North Carolina was in Clemmons, NC on Tuesday night April 26th for a pivotal Central Piedmont 4A matchup of two PBR NC Power 25 Teams when the East Forsyth Eagles visited the West Forsyth Titans. The game featured two of the top pitchers in the North Carolina 2023 Class along with one of the top power bats in the country.

East Forsyth leadoff hitter Xavier Isaac launched the first pitch of the game well over the center field wall. The homerun would turn out to be the only hit of the game. West Forsyth starter Harrison Lewis would go on to strike out 14 in 5 innings. He would be followed by Payton Martin who put up zeros for 2 innings while striking out 5. 

However the Titans could never get to Eagle starter Braxton Stewart who was dominant all night tossing a No-Hitter. Stewart punched the first 5 batters he faced and would not allow a base runner until a 2-out walk in the bottom of the 5th who he then picked off of first base. He struck out 2 more in the 6th. He would issue a leadoff walk in the 7th who the Titans would sacrifice to second base. With 2 outs and the tying run at second Stewart showed no signs of slowing down getting back to back strikeouts to complete the No Hitter and keep East Forsyth atop the Central PIedmont 4A. They will face off again on Thursday night.
