Wake County Home School came out swinging and scored 4 in the first, 2 in the second, and 3 in the third. Cary Christian tried to close the gap by scoring 6 runs in the sixth inning, but it was not enough. Wake County was led by junior outfielder, Turner Adams, who went 4-5 with 6 rbi. Kyler Pena allowed only one run in three innings and Cooper Clark closed out the last inning with three strikeouts.
