Class of 2024 Rankings Announced

Through an extensive evaluation process including PBR Summer Events, Scout Days and In Game Assessments, we have ranked the Top 50 prospects in the the state of Nevada. The talent in this group is going to be something to watch over the next few years with a pair of players from this freshman class already committing to premier collegiate programs. The Top 10 is stacked with projectable, premium position players with a pair of right handers that we expect to have an early impact on the varsity squads in the abbreviated Spring Season. The 2024 Class has the athletes to be one of the next "loaded" classes to come out of Nevada and Prep Baseball Report will be there to cover them through it all.

This class is already making waves with big time college commitments before even taking their first official varsity at-bats. Coming in at the top spot is Basic Academy's Ty Southisene, is a slick fielding prospect has displayed advanced actions throughout his game and has taken over the shortstop / leadoff hitter role and announced his commitment early last summer to attend San Diego State University after high school. Following closely behind Southisene is Texas Christian University commit, Burke Mabeus, who is already a physical specimen at 6-foot-2, 190 pounds, entering his first high school season where we expect him to have a significant role in the Cougars lineup as a switch-hitting catcher with power potential from both sides of the plate. We expect these two players are going to be battling back and forth for the next four years for the top spot with each player possessing advanced, present tools. A player that has taken his game to the next level over past few months is Bishop Gorman's Maddox Riske. The middle infield has always flashed smooth actions defensively, but the additional physicality has brought his game together on both sides of the plate which has earned him significant time in the potent Gaels' lineup.
