Your #1 source for high school baseball coverage is back to work, as PBR Nevada staff continues its "boots on the ground" efforts to bring you the most credible and up to date information on the spring season. PBR Nevada will be covering multiple games a week, bringing to you: game recaps, player spotlights, and updated power rankings. 

As we cover the season, we appreciate any and all stats/video recorded, and may be shared to [email protected] to expand our avenues of information consumed. Our ultimate goal is to bring as much exposure to Nevada players and teams possible, any info will be appreciated.

GAME RECAP

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL (1) - SHADOW RIDGE (4)

Shadow Ridge jumped out early with a no doubt blast off the bat of 2023 Washington commit, Ty Silva, earning him Player of the Game honors. After the homerun, things quieted down behind the pitching performance of Cimarron's 2023 RHP, Andrew Overland, who sat 86-88 mph of the most part throughout his 6.2 innings of work. A sac fly in the 3rd by 2023 C, Arturo Flores, tied the game up at 1, until rising 2024 MIF, Brock Morrow, put the Mustangs ahead with a homerun of his own over the left field fence. The Under the Radar middle infielder has steadily put his name on the map for that class over the first week of the season, producing at the top of the order with a frame that projects to add significant size, strength and speed over the next few years. In the top of the 7th, Shadow added to their lead with a pair of RBI singles, bringing it to 4-1 heading into the bottom of the 7th where the Spartans threatened, but were held off by 2022 RHP, Jimmy Wood, improving their record to 3-4-1 on the year.
