With the Las Vegas Dirtbags Scout Day in the books, we now take a look back at the standouts from yesterday's event. The Scout Day included a Pro-Style Workout where players ran a Laser Timed 60 Yard Dash, took a Batting Practice, Catcher Pop Times/Velocity, Outfield Evaluations/Velocity and Infield Evaluation/Velocity concluding with Pitches Bullpens. This was an exclusive event for players in the Las Vegas Dirtbags programs to highlight current players as well as a spotlight on the current state of the program itself. 

The metrics collected at the Scout Day have been uploaded to each player's PBR Profile and we now break down the top statistical performers from Wedesday's event that saw #1 ranked 2023, Zane Kelly, leading or near the top of almost every statistical category that applied to him. PBR newcomer, Ben Lovering, is a 2024 middle infielder that not only stood out with his defensive actions, but earned a share of the event's top infield velocity with 2023 corner infielder, Brandon Swanson. Just over a year from his first Prep Baseball Report event, Mikey Albanese, came out and improved in each of his metrics including an event best 1.97 Pop Time. 2022 right hander, Leo Uelmen, may have been the biggest surprise at the event, toeing the rubber for his first PBR Nevada event sitting 86-88 mph with projectable secondary pitches stuff that will help him work his way up the 2022 PBR Player Rankings update in March.
