The Scout Days Season Top Performers continues with the Top Fastball Velocities with five of the top ten fastballs coming out of Basic Academy highlighted by two-way, UNLV commit, Hunter Katschke’s Scout Day Season best 91 mph. Not only did we solidify the numbers of the top arms in town, a handful of Under the Radar prospects put their names on the map at their respective Scout Day with Rancho’s 2021 RHP Jairo Verdugo sitting 88-89 mph throughout this bullpen, Basic Academy’s 2021 RHP Jesus Gonzalez topping out at 87 mph and Spanish Springs Jaden Trueblood earning the Top Fastball Velocity at the Northern Nevada Scout Day at 86 mph. The lone freshman in the Top Fastball Velocities, Basic Academy’s Cooper Sheff, set the standard for the 2023 Class with his 86 mph fastball that drew National attention of the Prep Baseball Report Crosscheckers. The high quality of arms throughout the state will produce some must see head to head match ups this Springs and PBR Nevada will be there to cover it.
