Scout Day Season: Top Pop Times
February 22, 2020
The Scout Day Season Top Performers treks on as we dive into the Top Pop Times, highlighted by two seniors whose Pop Times placed them into elite national company. Palo Verde’s 2020 C, Oregon recruit, Josiah Cromwick has a share of the top spot on the nation with his electric 1.71 Pop Time that he earned at the Southern Nevada Scout Day. Cromwick set the New Nevada State Record that was previously held by Legacy’s 2020 C, CSN recruit, Fabian Torres, who posted a 1.81 Pop Time at the Legacy Scout Day earlier this year. These prospects headline a crop of Underclassman behind the dish including three Uncommitted freshman, Coronado’s Caden Hunt (1.97), Faith Lutheran’s Mikey Albanese (2.00) and Desert Oasis’ Boh Sartain (2.00). Basic Academy had three Uncommitted prospects of their own make their away into the Top Pop Times with 2021 Seth Reed earning the third best time in the state with a 1.94 followed by 2021 Jesus Gonzalez and 2022 Gavin Stevenson each posting a 1.96 Pop Time at the Basic Academy Scout Day. Pitchers in the state of Nevada are in good hands with these athletes behind the plate. #BeSeen
