RECENT EVENT HISTORY
New York State Games (6/25/19)
A projectable lean athletic frame at 6-foot-1, 175 pounds. Ran a 7.98 in the 60 yard dash. Offensively- Stands in the box in a tall stance. Simple load actions. Quick direct path to the baseball. Gets full extension after the point of contact. Does a good job using the lower half. Showed some pull side pop. Top exit velocity was 83 MPH. Defensively- has an aggressive approach to the baseball. Fields the ball slightly upright. Shows above average funnel actions and a quick release from a mid ¾ arm slot. Top throwing velocity was 80 MPH. Pitching- Displayed a repeatable delivery and a live projectable arm. Works with tempo. Uses a high knee lift and smooth hand separation. Drives downhill from a balanced backside. Throws from a mid ¾ arm slot. Has a fast arm action. FB has some arm side run. Ranged from 78-80 MPH and peaked at 80 MPH. CB has sharp late break ranging from 66-68 MPH. Showed a CH around the zone at 72-74 MPH. The 2022 graduate has some upside and is a must follow.
WHAT TO EXPECT
"Fike is throwback in the means that he exhibited the ability to pitch at a very young age, as evidenced by his efforts at the Junior Future Games in Indiana (August, 2018). His velocity has come second in his development; since that point he's steadily added on to where he was up to 80 MPH this past June. Anticipate an above average CB with with sweeping action that can be thrown for strikes. Highly projectable frame at 6-foot-2 180 pounds. It's just not all about his efforts on the mound as he is an above average defender around the bag and can use the whole field while at the plate. Excited to see him on day one of our all-state tour."
