Top Performer Spotlight: 2022 RHP Jake Moss (Manhasset HS)

Since June 7th, our boot-on-the-ground scouting team have seen 700+ players at showcase events, including the 2019 NYS Games. Already, 100's of players have caught the eyes of our professional scouting staff, all with dreams of playing baseball at the next-level. Over the winter we will be highlighting "Top Performer Spotlights" on players who really stood-out and offering "Quick-Hit" thoughts on the players.

CEVETTE'S QUICK HIT: Moss stands 6-foot-0, 185-pounds with a durable frame, thick strong lower half. His mechanics are sound and repeatable, the arm-swing is full and clean and the release point is in the high 3/4 area. His fastball jumped out of his hand this past OCT sitting 81-83 mph (peak 84) with downward angle, the CB was loose at times but did show 11/5 shape when he synced up his arm/release. I really liked his "cutter/slider" during his bullpen. It showed more 11/3 shape with signs of more depth to come as his hand-speed increases. CH has arm-side fade. All signs point north for the high-ceiling RHP prospect from Manhasset.
