With the 2018 spring season right around the corner, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage throughout the entire state. Starting mid-January, we began releasing team previews for teams across the state, leading into the Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings.

2018 Spring Team Preview: Elyria Catholic Panthers
Team Name: Elyria Catholic Panthers
Head Coach: Bruce Lisicky
Division: III
2017 Record: 20-4
Conference Record: Great Lakes Conference, 12-0, 1st
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 3/5
Team Strengths:
- Top of the Order Hitting
Coach Outlook: “We are returning 7 position players and hoping to have our 4th consecutive 20 win season. To do that we'll need some of our younger pitchers to step up and fill the void left by Andrew Abrahamowicz (Nebraska) and Jeff Spencer (Malone).”
PBR Outlook: Every year the Elyria Catholic Panthers and coach Bruce Lisicky are a team poised to make a run toward state. With three straight 20-win seasons in a row, look for the Panthers to make that four in a row in 2018. If/When the Panthers can find the pitching, they will be a team to watch come tournament time.
