Team 1 vs Team 2

  • One of Team 1’s top all around performances from opening weekend at the Fall Program was RHP/3B Clay Piatt (Granville, 2017). Piatt flashed one of the top fastballs on the day sitting between 82-83 mph. Added a double at the plate late in the 7th inning as well.
  • A few other prospects that recorded hits in game action for Team 1 were Evan Knaus (Boardman, 2018), Bradley Wolfe (Fairfield Union, 2017), and Jared Horner (Ravenna, 2017).
  • Bradley Wolfe (Fairfield Union, 2017) had the most impressive outing on the mound for Team 1. The right handed pitcher sat between 82-84 mph while striking out all three in his inning of work on just nine pitches.
  • OF/LHP Anthony Williams (Grove City, 2017) showed an increased jump in velocity from last years Fall Program. The southpaw consistently sat 79-80 mph while touching 81 mph a few times. His breaking ball also proved tough on hitters as it offered sharp, late break at 67-69 mph.

  • 2017 OF/2B Ryan Shorts of Olentangy Liberty High School showed he is a gamer and gets after the baseball. Shorts plays with advanced foot speed in the field and on the bases and registered a 4.45 home to first time.
  • Two-way player OF/RHP Johnny Condit (Springboro, 2018) had a strong showing for Team 3 Sunday. On the mound, the right handed pitcher used a submarine type pitching style and served as a nice change of pace as he worked a quick 2nd inning. Condit also added a three-hit day for Team 3 including a late 5th inning RBI single that put the game out of reach.
