With 2022 now in the past, PBR Ohio is eagerly anticipating bringing the Buckeye state the best high school coverage that can be found anywhere in 2023. Starting in February, we began releasing team previews for squads across the state. Ahead, we will have Preseason All-State Teams as well as the Preseason State Rankings coming your way.

2023 Spring Team Preview: Fort Jennings Musketeers

Coach Outlook: "We are a very young team with no seniors. We look for our younger players to step up to become leaders. With the lack of upperclassmen we are hoping to build towards a bright future."

  • Jarron Swick, CF/RHP, 2025, 6-1/180 lbs, R/R. 1-year starter. Last Year Stats - .436 BA, 12 R, 5 RBI, 1 HR, 12 SB, 3-3-1 with a 2.33 ERA in 36.0 IP. 2nd team all PCL, DIV IV Underclassman Series Nominee
  • Carson Gilchriest, C/INF, 2024, 5-9/145 lbs, R/R. 2-year starter. Last Year Stats - .273 BA, 10 R, 7 RBI, 5 SB, .992 FLD% as starting catcher. Honorable Mention all PCL as a Sophomore
  • Jake Wiechart, DH/RHP, 2024, 5-10/150 lbs, R/R. 2-year starter. Last Year Stats - .244 BA, 6 R, 4 RBI, 8 SB, 1-5 with a 6.14 ERA in 26 1/3 IP with 24 K, 9 BB. Honorable Mention all PCL as Freshman and Sophomore
  • Brandt Menke, SS/RHP, 2025, 5-8/135 lbs, R/R. 1-year starter. Last Year Stats - .200 BA, 5 R, 7 RBI, 8 SB, 0-1 with a 6.31 ERA in 6 1/3 IP with 5K and 6 BB. Honorable Mention all PCL
