2019 Spring Team Preview: Ontario Warriors

Team Name: Ontario Warriors
Head Coach: Jeff Fisher
Division: II
2018 Record: 25-4
Conference Record: Mid Ohio Athletic Conference, 13-0 (1st)
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/4

2019 Team Strengths:

  • Offensive Diversity
  • Team Speed
  • Defense

Coach Outlook: "With our spring trip to Myrtle Beach cutting our season in half, the Ripken Experience could become a defining moment on our schedule. I am hopeful our pitching will stand up as we need to replace over 130 innings that graduated. Offensively, we return three of our top run producers (Fisher, Cacchio, & Creed) with a solid supporting cast. We expect to continue and put pressure on teams with a good mix of speed and timely hitting. League-wise, Clear Fork returns a strong nucleus of pitchers while Lexington has the goods to contend for a district title."

PBR Outlook: Coach Jeff Fisher and the Warriors have a talented bunch and look to use a trip down south to prepare them for league and tournament play. If Ontario can replace some arms from 2018, look for them to be a team to pay attention to come tournament time.
