PBR OK hosted the third annual OK Preseason All-State Showcase at the state of the art World Baseball Outreach indoor facility. There were nearly 95 invite-only players showcased their skill in front of the PBR OK staff, 3 colleges and a pro scout. The talented event saw ten sub 7.00 60s, nine 90+ exit velos, 16 infield velos of 80+, four outfield velos of 85+, seven sub 2.00 second pop times, and 23 max fastballs at 80+ mph. Players profiles have been updated with stats, pictures, and video. The number below do not represent a players all-time best, only what they achieved at this event.

Today, we take an in-depth look at the thirty right-handers from the event. 

William Armour C / RHP / Bishop Kelley , OK / 2021

A lean and developing 5-foot-11, 150-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with smooth up, down, and out leg kick before sinking into his back side and striding to the dish. Arm action is moderate and fluid in the back before coming through a 3/4 slot. Fastball sits 72-74 mph with consistent arm-side run, some strikes. Changeup shows some fade at 64-68 mph, some strikes. Curveball has 11/5 shape with rolling action at 66-67 mph, some strikes. 

 

Camden Bates SS / 2B / Washington , OK / 2023

A lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 145-pound frame with some wiry strength and room to add more. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery, gathering at the top of his moderate leg lift before striding to the dish and finishing slightly to the first base side. Arm action is short and quick in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 77-80 mph, nearly all strikes. Curveball shows slurvy shape with consistent depth at 70-71 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup flashes heavy arm-side run with some sink, thrown with full arm speed at 69-71 mph, some strikes. 

Logan Bolin C / 3B / Sallisaw , OK / 2020

A durable 5-foot-10, 200-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before striding to the dish and finishing to the first base side. Arm action is long and loose in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 81-82 mph, nearly all strikes. Changeup keeps its plane at 77-78 mph. Curveball shows some late depth with 11/5 shape at 70-73 mph, nearly all strikes. 

Alec Cinocca OF / RHP / Broken Arrow, OK / 2021

A 5-foot-7, 155-pound frame with some quick twitch athleticism. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with a moderate and quick leg lift before striding down the mound and finishing to the first base side. Arm action is long and fast in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 78-80 mph, nearly all strikes. Curveball has rolling action with 11/5 shape at 64-67 mph, some strikes. Changeup shows some fade at 70-71 mph, some strikes. 

Gabe Davis RHP / OF / Choctaw, OK / 2022

A physically impressive, 6-foot-7, 190-pound frame with long legs and room to add more strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high leg kick and gather before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is moderate and quick in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball flashes some arm-side run at 82-84 mph, touching 85 mph, mostly strikes. Slider is advanced with tight spin and late action and 10/4 shape at 68-71 mph. Curveball shows 11/5 shape at 68-70 with short depth and tight spin, some strikes. Changeup is commanded in the zone flashing some depth at 72-75 mph.  

Gabe Harju 3B / RHP / Bishop Kelley, OK / 2021

A broad shouldered and projectable 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with room to add strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled and simple delivery with a short leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is clean and quick in the back with moderate length before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows occasional arm-side run at 79-81 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup is thrown with full arm speed at 75-79 mph with some depth and fade, mostly strikes. Breaking ball is short and tight with 10/4 shape and some late depth at 73-74 mph, mostly strikes.   

Nic Harris SS / RHP / Edmond Sante Fe, OK / 2023

A developing 5-foot-11, 140-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. Oni the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high and slightly coiling leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is long in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of his arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with looseness. Fastball keeps its plane at 71-73 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with rolling action at 59-61 mph, some strikes. Chageup shows some fade at 62-63 mph. 

Ryan Hayes C / RHP / Choctaw , OK / 2021

A very lean and projectable 6-foot-3, 145-pound with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a smooth, fluid and average tempod delivery with a high leg kick before gliding down the mound. Arm action is long and loose in the back before coming through a ¾ slot.  Fastball sits 68-70 mph with some arm-side run and sink, mostly strikes. Chageup shows some depth at 62-65 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows big rolling action at 57-58 mph with 11/5 shape. 

Brylen Janda RHP / 1B / Shawnee, OK / 2021

An extremely lean and projectable 6-foot-4, 175-pound frame with some present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a controlled delivery with as moderate up, down, and out leg kick and finishing to the first base side. Arm action is long in the back with a slight pause at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 84-86 mph touching 87 mph, some strikes, missing up occasionally. Changeup keeps its plane at 73-74 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows 12/6 shape with some late depth at 66-70 mph, some strikes. 

Ethan Louthan 1B / RHP / Seiling, OK / 2021

A 6-foot-3, 230-pound durable frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an up-tempo delivery with big actions and a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing to the dish. Arm action is long and controlled in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-82 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows some late depth at the bottom of the zone for consistent strikes at 68-69 mph. Changeup shows some fade at 72-73 mph, mostly strikes. Knuckleball shows some dance and strikes at 71-73 mph. 

Kaison Louthan 3B / RHP / Clinton, OK / 2024

A developing 5-foot-8, 125-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from slightly up-tempo delivery with a high leg kick before striding slightly open down the mound and finishing to the first base side. Arm action is fast with moderate length in the back before coming through a near over the top slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 68-70 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows some depth and 12/6 shape at 63-64 mph, some strikes. Changeup has some fade at 64-67 mph, thrown with full arm speed. 

Logan Lunceford SS / RHP / Edmond Santa Fe, OK / 2022

A lean 6-foot, 155-pound frame with some developing strength and lots of room to add more. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm that he repeats well. Uses a moderate leg kick and lunging stride to get down the mound and finish balanced. Arm action is long and quick the the back coming through a near over the top slot with some arm speed. Fastball sits 79-82 mph with some late riding life and almost all strikes. Chageup is advanced, thrown with full arm speed, showing consistent fade at 69-70 mph, nearly all strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape at 63-65 mph.  

Jonah Mahen SS / RHP / Crossing Christian, OK / 2021

A lean and athletic 5-foot-9, 160-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with an up, down, and out leg kick before finishing balanced. Arm action is long and quick in the back with a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke before coming through a high-¾ slot with arm speed. Fastball did not show the same upper 80s velo we have seen in the past out of Mahen, on this day sitting 81-82 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball flashed late depth with tight spin at 67-69 mph, some strikes. Chageup keeps its plane at 68-69 mph, mostly strikes. 

Colyn Mcnair 3B / RHP / Blanchard , OK / 2022

A physically advanced 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame with present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an up-tempo delivery with a high leg kick before striding down the mound and spinning off to the first base side. Arm action is short and quick in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-82 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup flashes some cut at 72-73 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows 11/5 shape with some late depth at 65-67 mph, some strikes.  

Jaxon Mctyre OF / C / Sallisaw, OK / 2021

A proportional 6-foot, 190-pound frame with present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and quick in the back before coming through a near over the top arm slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 82-86 mph, some strikes. Changeup also keeps its plane at 76-77 mph, thrown with full arm speed, some strikes. Curball has rolling action with 11/5 shape and some depth at 66-68 mph, some strikes. 

Gavin Moore RHP / 3B / Davis, OK / 2022

A large, physically developed, and durable 6-foot-3, 240-pound frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high and controlled leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing to the dish. Arm action is long and controlled in the back before a quick change of direction at the bottom of the arm stroke, coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball keeps it plane at 78-79 mph, some strikes. Slider shows some late depth at the bottom of the zone at 68-70 mph, mostly strikes. Knuckleball is developing at 67-68 mph. 

Wesley Olds 3B / RHP / McLoud, OK / 2021

A 6-foot-2, 180-pound frame with broad shoulders. On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing to the dish. Arm action has moderate length in the back with fluid action before coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball flashes arm-side run at 82-84 mph, some strikes. Chageup shows consistent arm-side run, thrown with full arm speed at 77-78 mph, some strikes. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with some late depth thrown with near full arm speed and shows tight spin at 66-68 mph, some strikes.

Brenden Poindexter 2B / 3B / Owasso, OK / 2020

A 6-foot, 190-pound proportional frame. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is quick with moderate length in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball flashes cut at 75-78 mph, mostly strikes. Slider shows 10/4 shape with some late depth at 66-67 mph. Changeup shows consistent fade at 72-73 mph, mostly strikes. 

Ethan Rone 3B / SS / Choctaw, OK / 2022

A physically advanced 5-foot-11, 195-pound frame with strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high up, down, and out leg kick before striding to the dish and finishing slightly to the first base side. Arm action is very fast with moderate length in the back before coming through a near over the top slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 80-82 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball shows consistent depth and solid spin at 63-64 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup keeps its plane at 77-78 mph.

John(Keaton) Ruthardt RHP / OF / Deer Creek, OK / 2021

A long limbed and projectable 6-foot-3, 170-pound with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with rhythm and an up, down, and out leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and controlled in the back before coming through an over the top slot. Fastball shows come cut to the glove side and some run to the arm side at 84-85 mph, touching 86 mph, almost all strikes. Curveball shows 12/6 shape with consistent depth at 66-67 mph, nearly all strikes. Changeup is thrown with full arm speed showing consistent late fade at 77-78 mph, mostly strikes. 

Luke Schimmels OF / RHP / Deer Creek , OK / 2023

A physically advanced 6-foot-01, 195-pound frame with present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high up, down, and out leg kick with quality leg drive down the mound before finishing to the first base side with a recoil finish. Arm action is long and fast in the back before coming through an over the top slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball flashes cut with a down hill plane at 80-83 mph, mostly strikes. Curveball is advanced with near 12/6 shape and tight spin thrown with full arm speed at 70-74 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows some fade at 75-76 mph, some strikes.

Hal Smith C / RHP / Metro Christian Academy, OK / 2020

A proportional 5-foot-10, 170-pound frame with room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the stretch with moderate leg lift before exploding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is short and quick in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with some arm speed. Fastball shows heavy and late run to the arm-side and cut to the glove side at 80-82 mph, nearly all strikes. Splitter shows some depth at the bottom of the zone, nearly all strikes. Slider is short with solid spin and consistent depth at 70-72, nearly all strikes. 

Noah Smith 3B / RHP / Piedmont, OK / 2023

A physically advanced 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with some present strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a high and coiling up, down, and out leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing slightly to the first base side. Arm action is long in the back, dropping straight down out of the break before coming through a high over the top slot. Fastball keeps its plane at 75-77 mph, some strikes. Chageup shows some arm-side run at 68-70 mph, some strikes. Curveball has 11/5 shape with rolling action and some depth at 64-67 mph, some strikes. 

Ryan Stout RHP / SS / Oklahoma Christian School, OK / 2021

A 5-foot-10, 165-pound proportional frame with some wiry strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an extremely up-tempo delivery using a moderate leg kick before finishing to the dish with a recoil finish. Arm action is long and fast in the back with a low and varied low ¾ slot. Fastball shows consistent and heavy arm-side run with advanced command especially to the arm-side  of the plate at 85-86 mph. Slider has East-West shape with tight spin at 72-73 mph, mostly strikes. Chageup shows consistent fade and arm-side run at 75-76 mph, mostly strikes. 

Gray Thomas RHP / 3B / Heritage Hall, OK / 2021

An impressive and projectable 6-foot-4, 205-pound frame with present strength and some room left to fill out. On the mound, the right-hander works from a slightly up-tempo delivery with some rhythm and a high leg kick before exploding down the mound with quality leg drive, finishing towards the dish. Arm action is long and quick in the back before coming through a low-¾ slot with elite arm speed. Fastball shows arm-side run, especially down in the zone at 90-93 mph, some strikes. Slider is elite with late 10/4 depth and tight spin thrown with full arm speed at 74-76 mph, nearly all strikes. Changeup shows some arm-side run and depth at times at  79-80 mph, mostly strikes. 

Jesse Tisdell OF / 2B / Choctaw HS, OK / 2022

A lean and athletic 5-foot-11, 155-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from slightly up-tempo leg kick with a high leg kick before striding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is very short in the back with a quick change of direction before coming through a near over the top slot. Fastball flashes cut at 75-79 mph, nearly all strikes. Curveball flashes near 12/6 shape at 67-68 mph spinning out at times, some strikes. Changeup keeps its plane at 72-73 mph, nearly all strikes. 

Logan Towe SS / 2B / Mustang, OK / 2023

A 5-foot-10, 155-pound frame with plenty of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an average tempo delivery with a moderate leg kick before gliding to the dish and finishing balanced. Arm action is short and fluid in the back before coming through an over the top slot. Fastball sits 64-67 mph, some strikes. Curveball shows near 12/6 shape with at 55-56 mph, some strikes. Changeup keeps it splane at 63-64 mph, mostly strikes.   

Parker Whittle RHP / 1B / Regent Preparatory, OK / 2021

A durable 6-foot, 195-pound frame with some strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from a simple delivery with rhythm that he repeats well. Uses a moderate leg kick with a quick and aggressive leg drive down the mound before finishing balanced. Arm action is long and fluid in the back coming through a high-¾ slot with quickness. Fastball sits 81-84 mph, keeping its plane, nearly all strikes. Curveball shows some late bite at the bottom with 11/5 shape at 64-67 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup shows some depth at 70-73 mph, thrown with full arm speed, mostly strikes. 

Drew Wood RHP / 1B / Crossings Christian School, OK / 2022

A long, lean, and projectable 6-foot-5, 165-pound frame with lots of room to add size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works only from the back leg heavy stretch with a high leg kick before gliding down the mound and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and fluid in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot. Fastball shows some downhill tilt at 75-76 mph, nearly all strikes. Curveball has 12/6 shape with consistent depth at 64-68 mph, mostly strikes. Changeup keeps its plane at 66-68 mph, mostly strikes. 

Kaden Wright RHP / OF / Bixby, OK / 2022

An athletic and lean 5-foot-11, 167-pound frame with room to add more size and strength. On the mound, the right-hander works from an old school and average tempo delivery with rhythm and a high leg kick before gliding down the mound with control and finishing balanced. Arm action is long and controlled in the back before coming through a high-¾ slot with advanced arm speed. Fastball shows consistent and hard cut at 84-86 mph, mostly strikes. Slider has sharp 10/4 shape with some late depth and consistent tight spin at 74-75 mph, some strikes. Curveball has 11/5 shape and some late depth at 70-71 mph, some strikes.
