TOP PROSPECT
Zach Garlinger, 2020, OF/RHP, East Pennsboro HS (PA)
Lanky 6-foot-2, 150-pound primary pitcher appear to be just beginning to reach his physical maturity. Sat 82-85 from a high 3/4 arm slot with plenty more in the tank once he learns to better incorporate his glove side of his body into his motion. Stays balanced and directional with slight cut to his fastball. Curveball has a chance to be an out pitch at 70-72 with tight 11/5 rotation. Changeup is still in development. When he did not spike the pitch it sat 74-76 with some sink.
Showcased his athleticism by running a 6.88 60-yard dash and displayed good actions defensively with 87 mph arm strength from his outfield position. Right-handed hitter loads deep and shifts weight to his front side hard at contact. Swing has length but produced a bat exit velocity of 81 mph.
Remainder of Two-way Prospects: (in alphabetical order)
Collin Campbell, 2020, 3B/RHP, Gettysburg Area HS (PA)
5-foot-9, 175-pound primary third baseman displayed across the board improvements in all measurable categories since we last saw him in January. The right-handed hitter starts from a slightly open stance and utilizes a short, leg-hang stride to initiate his swing. Barreled the baseball consistently in batting practice with a bat exit velocity of 78 mph. Displayed accurate 72 mph arm strength across the diamond defensively and improved footwork. Continued work to play through the baseball is necessary. On the mound the righty sat 73-76 from a high 3/4 arm slot with faint armside run. His 60 mph curveball with 11/5 rotation, 62 mph slider and 65 mph changeup thrown at near fastball arm speed gives him four pitches in his arsenal.
Kyle Donton, 2020, OF/RHP, Manheim Township HS (PA)
6-foot-2, 160-pounder had a solid day in all areas. The right-handed hitter starts from a square stance and initiates his swing with a fairly lengthy leg-lift stride that allows his head to travel. Displayed good hands and a feel for the barrel with a bat exit velocity of 81 mph. Ran a 7.39 60-yard dash and played through the baseball routinely with accurate 77 mph arm strength from his outfield position. The right-hander sat 74-77 from a high 3/4 arm slot out of an overhead rocker delivery. As he develops into his frame Donton has a chance to see significant velocity gains. He also showcased a curveball that is still in development at 61-64 with 10/4 rotation.
