Elite Prospect Showcase Spotlight: 2020 RHP Ryan Basarab (West Chester East)

An event that began in 2013 moves into its 6th year of existence with many of the top uncommitted prospects in the tri-state region getting together at Keystone State Baseball Academy in Manheim on October 27th. The Elite Prospect Showcase has seen 186 players go on to make college commitments in just its first five years of existence.

Scouting Report
8.19.18 - 6-foot-5, 195-pound righty sat 81-84 while touching 86 mph from a high 3/4 to over-the-top arm slot in rainy conditions. Basarab commanded the zone well with a three pitch mix working three hitless innings while striking out four. His curveball at 72-73 showed tight 12/6 rotation and got plenty of swinging strikes. The changeup at 74-75 was thrown with good sell as an effective third pitch. Basarab repeats his delivery well and showed the ability to get downhill creating tilt to the plate.
