Ephrata 3, Cedar Crest 2

East Stroudsburg recruit Hunter Johns allowed just three hits and one earned run while going the distance on Monday. The lefty, ranked No. 153 in the PA Class of 2019, struck out six and walked two while keeping Cedar Crest off the scoreboard in six of seven innings. Johns threw100 pitches in his complete game effort, 62 of which were strikes.

Ephrata had eight hits, but managed just three runs in the top of the 4th inning. Cedar Crest answered with a pair of runs in the bottom half of the inning to complete the scoring for the evening.

Fellow East Stroudsburg recruit Ricky Bromirski carried the offensive load for the Mounts going 3-for-4 with two RBI. The senior backstop also doubled for the lone extra base hit of the game.

Ephrata improved to 9-5 on the season with the win while Cedar Crest fell to 7-6 on the season with the loss.
