CLASS OF 2018

Ryan Casey, LHP, Pope John Paul II HS (PA)
5-foot-10, 185-pound lefty sat 76-78 out of a 3/4 arm slot with some arm side run to his fastball. Curveball showed 1/7 shape at 59-62 and changeup was thrown at 68-71 with some sink. Works solely out of the stretch. Drops into a point of strength in his stack position with some slight fall to the third base dugout at finish. Commanded the zone consistently with all three pitches.

Jake Korobellis, RHP, Cherokee HS (NJ)
6-foot, 190-pound right-hander with a solid lower half. Initiates his delivery with a side rocker step and exhibits balance through finish. Fastball sat 80-83 with some arm side run with plenty more in the tank. Curveball has slider 10/4 slider shape at 70-72 and changeup is a quality, next level pitch at 74-77 with hard sink and arm side run. Physical frame and potential to add additional strength make Korobellis a definite follow in this class for the spring of 2018.
