Scouting Report

 

Physical: 6-foot-1, 215 pounds; lean, athletic build. 7.75 runner in the 60. 
Offensively: RHH. Starts with upright slightly open stance and hands relaxed with barrel on the shoulder; gets into the back side while gaining ground with a low leg lift; hands load straight back. aggressive lower half staying behind the ball with gets on the plane early and stays long through the zone; 27 degree bat angle into the zone via Blast Motion. Edwards is able to produce 33.2 G’s of force with an on-plane efficiency of 86%.  consistent loud contact with juice to the pull side; average Trackman exit velocity of 89.4 MPH; peak exit velo was 96 MPH. 
Defensively: Uses prep step; plays low to the ground with active foot work. fields in front with a seamless transfer; short arm action with a side 3/4 release.  INF - 77 MPH.
