Kinkaid 2019 RHP Stone Simmons (No. 58 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Furman) went the distance on 96 pitches. He allowed no runs on four hits and no walks with 16 strikeouts.

Offensively, Kinkaid scored all five runs in the 2nd via the walk. 2019 DH Kamal Nader and 2019 OF Wyatt Young (No. 218 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Oregon State) had both of Kinkaid’s hits while Young, 2020 OF Chris Stallings (No. 112 in 2020 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Air Force), 2019 C Carlos Abello (No. 162 in 2019 PBR Texas rankings, committed to Princeton), 2021 1B Blake Pou and 2019 OF Behr Bruce all had RBIs

For Northside on the mound, 2020 LHP Joel Hardin and 2019 RHP Caleb Garcia each threw two scoreless innings of relief with Hardin allowing one hit and two strikeouts while Garcia struck out the side in both innings.

Furman commit. Estimated 6-foot-3, 215-pound durable, projectable frame. The right-hander throws from a ¾ slot with an athletic, repeatable delivery. His fastball was 86-88 mph, touched 90 mph. Commanded the fastball low in the zone to both sides of the plate, flashing arm-side run inside to righties. He threw a slider that was 77-79 mph with 10-4 action, occasionally getting more over the top of it and having it go 11-5.
