With the start of the new year PBR Virginia/DC releases our updated Class of 2020 rankings, nearly doubling as we expand to the top 45 players across the commonwealth. As with all of our rankings, we put together the top players we have had the opportunity to see while traveling the state catching games, events, and our own PBR workouts.

Remaining at the top spot is Liberty Christian middle infielder Quade Tomlin. The talented middle infield prospect continued his impressive ways through the spring and into the summer. Moving up one spot is Patriot high school SS/RHP Riley Eikhoff. Eikoff had an impressive showing at the PBR Future Games this summer and has shut things down taking some rest heading into the spring. He did take the time to make his commitment to Virginia during that time.

Moving down to the No. 6 spot is LHP Jake Berry. Berry is arguably the most intriguing talent of the 2020 class, but injuries slowed down his 2017, with two non baseball injuries to his knees at the beginning and end of the year while some arm issues slowed him down over the summer. Needless to say, a healthy 2018 from the 6-foot-7 left-handed pitcher could pay big dividends and see the Bishop O'Connell talent rise not just in the state rankings but potentially the Overall rankings as well.

Top ranked newcomer goes to SS David Coppedge (Virginia) of Clover Hill who impressed us immensely during the Super 6 tournament this fall at JMU and comes in at No. 8. Another recent commit to UVA, Nate Savino, comes in at No. 10. Standout at the Fall Invite, Jonathan Compton comes in at No. 12.
