WV Top Prospect Games Spotlight: 2016 LHP/OF Jared Shawver

The West Virginia Top Prospect Games are less than two months away and the roster continues to fill with some of the state's top talent.
Among those that will participate as two-way prospects with be Logan HS product Jared Shawver. The 6-foot, 155-pound lefty, comes off a 3-0 junior season with an impressive 1.04 ERA. Shawver worked 33.2 innings over 11 appearances striking out 43 while only walking nine batters. The talented lefty yielded less than a hit every two innings with just 15 safeties allowed on the season. Shawver also turned in a solid offensive performance. The left-handed swinging outfielder hit .291 with 10 RBI when not on the mound.
The 2015 West Virginia Top Prospect Games will take place August 8-9 at the YMCA Kennedy Center Field in Huntington. As we draw closer to August we will continue to highlight top prospects scheduled to participate in the state's premier event of the summer.
