7.17.18 Adams has dominated in league play this year on the mound, racking up the strikeouts while his fastball velocity has been up to 86 mph in game. He compliments that with a curveball in the low 70's with depth and spin and is a put-away pitch for the 2020 left-hander. Athletic delivery, ball comes out the hand with life and should continue to be impactful on the mound. Also sees time in the outfield, right-handed bat that does not get cheated with big time bat speed for his age and a 95 mph exit velo. Top prospect in the 2020 class.
2.19.18 A projectable two-way player who shows tools on the bump as well as at the plate. Swings it from the right side off a straight front foot, Adams is able to generate good lift with clean extension. Stays inside the ball, with a quiet approach and not a lot of moving parts, makes hard contact. Arm works cleanly off the mound and out of the outfield, the left-hander throws from a 3/4 delivery with quick arm action. Adams shows athletic actions on the mound and the ball comes out of his hand cleanly. Fastball has late life and sits between 82-84mph. Changeup still needs work, but shows fading action at 70-74mph. 1/7 shape on curveball with good amount of bite. Overall, one of the more intriguing 2020 prospects with a good arm, a projectable build, and some raw tools at the plate.
