2020 Caleb McGinnis third-baseman/right-handed pitcher checks in at 

 6-foot, 180-pounds. The Alabama native has plenty of strength and leverage to what he does on a baseball field. His 7.19/60-yard time is respectable and plays at an infield corner spot, especially of a kid that can swing the bat. He also has plenty of arm strength with both his 86-Outfield Velocity and 84-Infield Velocity times. His actions on defense will play in both the outfield and infield at the next level. His set-up and approach at the plate are both balanced and leveraged with solid present strength, but because his positional profile is so offensive continuing to add strength will be a bonus though his 88-Exit Velocity is impressive as is.

Another RHP that worked from a high ¾ slot and the FB showed some sink at 80-81 mph and up to 82 mph (we have seen him up to 85 mph previously). Ground ball pitcher that stayed around the zone with all of his pitches. The breaking ball showed some depth at 68-69 mph. Big time competitor on the mound. Offensively, he has some pop at the plate as the barrel creates some violence in the zone. Does a nice job keeping the barrel in the hitting zone. Had a loud L8 and a 2B that he crushed in the game. Doesn’t try to do too much at the plate and showed a middle of the field approach with slight tilt in the swing path. Nice pre field presentation with the glove and the feet are in great position to make throws after the quick transfer. Looked very athletic on the backhand play.

10.14.18- Showed some serious improvement from previous events. Very powerful lower half that helps create drive to the plate. Continued to pound the bottom half of the zone with all of his pitches and worked a very clean inning. Really gets the arm back and lets it work, it looks easy as his FB was consistent mid 80’s reaching 85 mph on the day. Big time spin the breaking ball that was tough for hitters to pick up and he mixed it in well in the low 70’s. Really attacked hitters with both pitches and was ultra effective.

10.14.18-Has been a very solid player at all 3 events we have seen him at and has shown definite improvement over those 3 events. Solid defensive actions at 3B and played low to the ground with good hip flexion. Plenty of arm strength across the diamond (81 mph IF velo). Could very easily make the move to 1B in the future as well. A strong kid, he creates some juice from his slightly open stance and does a good job of getting started on time. A little tilt in his swing creates some carry off of the bat, especially to the pull side. Showed patience in the game and didn’t chase balls out of the zone

Caleb McGinnis (2020 3B/RHP, Hokes Bluff HS) 6’0 190 lbs 6.5.18- strong, physical kid. Was impressive in a number of ways at the event. Defensively, showed off a good arm with a 79 mph IF velo to 1B. Nice hands and feet. Offensively, drove a lot of balls to his pull side during BP. Powerful lower half. Exit velo was 86 mph. On the mound, he was 78-79 and topped at 80 mph. Curveball was tight at 68-70. Changeup was an above average pitch at 73-75. Located his pitches effectively

Caleb McGinnis (2020, 3B/RHP, Hokes Bluff) 6’0 190 lbs- 7.10.18- one of the standouts on the day as he was at the top of most of the statistical categories. A corner infielder, he moves well laterally with nice actions with the glove and threw 81 mph across the diamond. At the plate, he has some serious pull side juice from his open stance evidenced by his 88 mph exit velocity (tops at the event). On the mound his FB sat at 81-83 and was up to 84 a few times with some decent ASR. Does a good job commanding all pitches, throwing a sharp breaking ball at 68-71 and a changeup at 76-77. His fastball appears to have some late life.
