Positional Profile: OF
Physical: 5-11, 163-pounds; Average, rangy build. 7.57 runner in the 60.
Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; flat bat moving to upright position. Loads straight back with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a flat swing path with two handed finish. More line drives than fly balls and ground balls with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. Fairly compact with contact oriented approach, has bat control and zone adjustability, has barrel feel and high level to stay on-plane.
Defensively: Starts with an upright /tall setup; uses prep hop while showing active feet. Hands are off to the side while funneling to the hip before transfer. Moderate arm circle from a high-3/4 arm slot. OF - 78 MPH. Calm approach to ball, fairly routine mechanics to release, slight tailing action near the target, ball comes out with hints of potential for slightly above average arm strength in the future.
Bay Area World Series Underclass (6/4/21-6/6/21)
Offensive notes: High hands with early wiggle using front foot lift on load. Direct hand path with open front side allowed him to find consistent liners to LF. Longer, squared frame with some projection. 60-yard - 7.71 / EV mph - 76
Defensive notes: Shoulder loads well allowing him to keep throws accurate from a compact, higher release. Moved well and stayed inline to his bases. Trusted his footwork and timing. OF mph - 74
Pitching notes: Hands work up/down with high front knee and used shorter stride into bent front leg. Arm has length out of the glove to high 3/4 release. FB worked with some sink to the gloveside extending off the plate that way. CHG worked armside to be opposite FB to gloveside. CB worked with overhand action in 12/5 shape with slow drop through the zone. Better when he worked ahead early in the counts. FB 64-68 / CB 55-56 / CHG 60-63
Positional Profile: OF
Body: 5-8, 135-pounds. High waist, length in lower half, young muscle.
Hit: RHH. Tall stance, high hands, high back elbow. Hands stay high on simple stride, keeps back foot connected to the ground and ability to have torso continue through zone. Pull focus with times of lift that way. Barrel stays with shoulders, quick trigger and lift focus. Better control of barrel allows him to find more consistency.
Power: 79 max exit velocity
Arm: RH. OF - 73 mph. Fluid arm swing, elbow stays high through release. Arcs on throws with bits of tail.
Defense: Aggressive to the baseball with fluid footwork; fields on the left foot consistently.
Run: 7.86 runner in the 60
Positional Profile: RHP
Delivery: Slow paced. Small sidestep with hands raising on higher front knee; stays tall early. Front leg reaches a bit and when it does front foot will open.
Arm Action: RH. Full swing, fluid and higher 3/4 release.
FB: T67, 64-67 mph. Up in zone, times where it can have better run (15.1 Max HM, 17.8 Max IVB) T67, 67 average rpm.
CB: 58-60 mph. Small overhand action. Times where it spins (-11 Max HM) T58-60, 58-60 average rpm.
CH: 58-61 mph. Good depth off FB look. Times where the pitch can really dive (18.4 Max IVB) T58-61, 58-61 average rpm.
