Harrington has proven that he is an exceptional defender and competitor at the plate, but what stands out to me more than that is the energy and the leadership role that he brings. From pre-game to post-game, you can audibly hear Harrington's leadership. He consistently encourages teammates and isn't afraid to critique when standards are not met. In the game I watched vs Simi Valley, he single handedly reset his team and lit a fire underneath them to achieve a scrappy comeback victory. Of course, his physical presence was also present. Defensively, he didn't miss a step and showed clear comfortability at the shortstop position. At the plate, he had a loud, ripped double early on that set the tone for the Dons' offense. Despite missing opportunities to score runs in his subsequent at bats, you could still hear Harrington being a good teammate from the dugout. Stanford is lucky, they're getting a well-rounded athlete as well as a polished teammate.

Harrington has long been a standout presence in San Diego baseball. Against Eastlake, it was more of the same. The profile continues to trend upward as he is tapping into more power while still maintaining and improving the strength and athleticism of the frame. Harrington has some unteachable competitiveness mixed with trained and learned awareness and game-sense. This allows him to always know what’s going on in the game, know where he’s supposed to be, and arguably more importantly as the shortstop, know where everyone else is supposed to be. Harrington has all these traits that allow him to affect the game without being in the box or with the ball in his hand. That being said, Harrington hit the eventual game-winning two-run home run. The barrel stays in the zone, getting on-plane early and creating a bat path geared towards line drives to all fields. Harrington got just under this one and blasted it for a no-doubt HR. He also collected another barrel to RF and got an infield single clocking ~ 4.3 seconds down the line. Harrington also grabbed a stolen base, advanced on a passed ball and scored Cathedral Catholic’s third run on another ball to the backstop. Gamechanger at SS.

Harrington is and has been one of the most prominent names in San Diego, if not the entire country, for years now. It's hard to poke holes in his profile; he moves very well on the basepaths and in the field with the arm to back it up. He can hit for power and average while having the instincts and competitive traits to thrive under any spotlight. Harrington stood out in both the workout and in-game. In BP he sprayed balls all over the field with hard line drives and HRs, his average EV was 94.7, with a peak of 100. In-game, Harrington worked competitive at-bats all day, walking away with a walk, a double, and a single with 94 EV into LF.

Body: 6-0, 177.7 pounds.
Hit: RHH. Tall upright setup, starts on his toe and works into a long stride. Works downhill through the zone, throws his hands at the ball and looks to work the other way. 76.3 mph bat speed with 18g of rotational acceleration.
Power: 100 mph max exit velocity (94.7 avg.); 374-foot max batted distance.
Arm: RH. INF - 87.00 mph. Shorter, compact arm circle, 3/4 slot, showed accurate throws on the bag.
Defense: Athletic with a pre-pitch bounce, attacks the baseball in-stride, steady hands, one-hand gather.

Arm: RH. Strong and quick release, great accuracy . Comfortable with throws from all angles.
Defense: Strong footwork, good awareness and anticipation. Flexible and dynamic at all times.

Hit: RHH. Taller/narrow set up with feet just outside his shoulders and rhythmic hands. Mild leg lift trigger that loads early. Hands load into a good launch position and creates depth into the hitting zone. Consistent loud impact out front. On-plane bat path. Advanced bat speed. Balanced at finish with good extension through finish. 2 HR in BP. Looks the part of an advanced hitter. 
Power: 89 mph max exit velocity
Arm: RH. INF - 85 mph. Advanced arm strength showing the ability to stay at SS. All accurate throws during the workout. Medium path with present arm speed. Ability to throw on the run and manipulate slot.
Defense: Solid overall actions. Good footwork in getting to his spots with present glove skills. Athleticism was easy to see. Some present gather with the lower half to get off strong throws. Quick DP exchanges/turns.
Run: 6.98 runner in the 60.

Delivery: Over the top gather into a side step. High chest knee lift. Works in-line. Slight follow through finish to 1B side. Establishes front side direction early. Creates good stretch. Lower half works well maintaining his backside.
Arm Action: RH. Advanced arm speed. Slight stab that works to a full arm path. Works from the 3/4 slot. Consistent slots on all pitch types.
FB: Present life to it with present 19 inch VB. Gets good extension on it which increases perceived velo. 
CB: Developing secondary. Had trouble locating, but when he got out front with it, it showed good depth and break. 
SL: Best secondary. Sweeper shape. Good feel in the zone. Early signs of a swing and miss pitch.
CH: Another advanced secondary. Tons of fade to it with 19 inch of HB. Feel for it in the zone as well.
