McKay committed to St. Mary’s shortly after last season's Future Games Tryout where his summer was launched after missing a portion of last season with an oblique injury. Has added some physicality to the frame that has helped him at the plate. Drove a ball to the right center field gap for an easy double that could’ve possibly been stretched to a triple were it not for the risk involved with two outs. He later drove a ball to the pullside for another hit moving a runner into scoring position. McKay appears to have picked up some speed on the basepaths with the added physicality. Smart baserunner who is aggressively looking to take an extra bag when possible.
