Oregon State signee, Soulages is a long and lean 6-foot-5 198-pound right-hander, built like a projectable high school pitcher. High-3/4 slot, showed feel of the zone with three pitches and kept opponent off balance all day. Didn't have best stuff, ranged 81-86 mph, utilized change-up well, mixed in a slider/cutter. Pitched into and out of trouble on a number of occasions. Delivery was on-line however seemed to be cutting it off early and not 'letting it go' on most pitches. Low leg lift and lack of gather over the rubber. Went inside to right-handed hitters better than he went away. Pitched well but stuff wasn't crisp.
