Second look at Millar and he took the bump in a must win game vs  (13-2) Charter  Valley. All eyes were on Millar and he delivered as his final pitching line was 7.0 IP / 10 K / 2 H / 1 BB. Millar was aggressive versus hitters all game long locating his FB on the outer half and above the zone. He relied on his SL that caught the inner and outer half of the plate as the pitch would freeze hitters or force swing / miss action. Compared to his short outing in his last appearance, it was intriguing to see how he can work throughout a full outing. He faced some trouble in the 4th and 5th as he walked a batter and allowed 2 hits. His control wasn’t as strong and the FB velocity did drop a bit, but Millar found a way to lock back in the zone and finish off the game very strong. Millar is extremely fluid with simple mechanics. Even with his tall frame he has continued to show his great body control as he is always well balanced while firing off his backside to create that elite FB velocity. He works quickly downhill with great tempo, throwing with good extension to finish his pitches. Millar is a competitor on the bump and isn’t afraid to see his defense work. He is able to force swing and miss but also knows his stuff can induce weak contact. On the season Millar holds a 0.00 ERA with 6 wins and an 80/8 KK:BB ratio.
