at Deer Valley HS - Grambling State commit; Energetic player with enthusiasm for the game, playmaker on defense with ability to make plays on the move and creativity to get off challenging throws from multiple arm angles, arm profiles best at 2nd base when projecting beyond the HS level, displayed some power potential at plate though fly ball and pull heavy approach could be a challenge for success at the college level. For the day his five plate appearances were K, E8 (well struck toward LF gap), F7 (down line in foul territory), K, F7, 1B, all contact to pullside in the air.

Defense: Plays low to and through ball, wide base, eyes are good and level, plays with body control, tends to take an extra step to get throw off. Run: 6.89 runner in the 60.
3/23/19
Smaller athletic build at 5-foot-8 150-pounds, stood out first of all because he's starting as a freshman (with good numbers thus far) but furthermore because he played well, especially defensively, where he flawlessly handled at least nine chances, making the routine plays and those that were a little more than routine to both his left and right. Arm strength will need to continue to improve but the glove skills and footwork are good. Offensively he battled in his at-bat and though he pulled three ground balls, he certainly wasn't over-matched. His hands are pretty short to the ball and once he gains some more strength and little better lower half foundation he's got a chance. Speed will also have to improve as he physically matures and ages as he ran 4.78/4.79 down the line on two of those 5-3 outs. Good energy and hustle. Simply a player to take note of and see how he comes along.
