Body: 6-foot-2, 190-pound strong and athletic build that is projectable. Hit: (RHH) Starts in a slightly open relaxed stance. Uses a simple forward stride as hands pop back and backside starts to internally rotate (coil). Bat accelerates into the zone at a plus bat speed of 75 mph average. Handsy level swing path that is extended through at finish. Showed an inside out ability at times. Gap to gap approach. Power: 99 mph exit velocity. Showed wall ball power throughout his BP round. Blast metrics show a huge power ceiling with both bat speed (79 mph max) and rotational acceleration (33.1 gs max) being way above average for his level. Defense: (C) 1.86-2.01 pop times. Quick light footwork on throwdowns. Clean fluid exchanges allow him to quickly get to release . Athletic in his actions. Wider setup. Solid pitch frame ability shown in game action. Has skills to stay at the position. Arm: 79 mph catcher velocity. Loose and snappy arm action out of a high ¾ slot. All throwdowns were accurate and showed good carry to the bag. Speed: 7.12 (60-yard).

V Live Oak - Uncommitted. Large frame with high waist and length in legs; very projectable build that is gaining strength. Defensives skills were on-point again with strong glove hand showing excellent receiving skills. Blocking was solid again with only 1 passed ball on FB he that went cross-body in dirt. Arm has a chance to be very good with strength and quickness from compact actions; throws regularly 2.12-2.2 in between innings and willingness to throw behind runners. Had a great day at the plate showing growing bat-to-ball skills and the strength in the frame. 3 hard contacts with 2B into LCF before hard grounder in 6-hole beating it out (4.68 H-1st) and final 1B into RF. Stands wide with crouch keeping hands even and bat flat on back shoulder. Body rocks over back foot with hands in unison into back shoulder pocket using toe-tap to stay behind the ball; controlled and athletic load. Hands stay tight to body with back arm slotting working flat bat path through the zone keeping palm up through contact. When bat works on slightly upwards path with usage of his lower half, swing drives the ball deep into gaps. Continues to impress with current skills behind the plate. If the swing can make continue to make jumps could really blossom into one of the top Catchers in 2021 class.

at Los Altos - Uncommitted. Long, physical build with high waist and length in legs; some strength currently, but very projectable frame that can continue to grow and strengthen. One of the best catchers I’ve seen so far in Central Coast Section for 2021 class. Was very impressive behind the plate during game. Showed easy arm strength early letting it loose on 1st throw of the day (2.12 Pop) that had great carry to the bag. Consistently put balls on the bag at 2nd between innings (2.07-2.14) and showed off the arm in game catching a runner at 3rd base (1.71 pop) with quick and controlled footwork. Added snap throws behind runners and effectively shut down run game when he caught runner at 3rd base. His blocking and receiving skills were equally impressive showing lateral agility and the ability to be an athlete and sacrifice himself on blocks. The type of catcher pitchers love throwing to with his ability to smother pitches while keeping ball close to him; Zero passed balls/dropped balls during game. Uses flexibility in body to set up low target starting at hitters knees; very firm glove hand able to manipulate pitches coming to him and make subtle movements to get strikes for his pitchers. At the plate, stands wide and balanced with slight bend of the knees keeping hands even and high with relaxed elbows. Bat bounces N/S on back shoulder before big load into back hip with slight sink into legs; hands have exaggerated movement down and back into shoulder. Quick bat working on slight uphill that creates easy loft with high finish; would like to see the back hip work earlier in swing as hands can get started early sapping pop off the bat. Hit ball hard to CF and chance as he matures for those type of outs to be long extra base hits. Uses stride length well with better profile underway. Really like the upside potential on Pawlowski and college coaches looking for a 2021 catcher should put him on their list.

NCTB underclass tourney - Tall body, good frame, squares ball up with a gap to gap approach. Balanced swings. Knows the strike zone and will take walks. Good throwing tools. Blocks well, recovered well and threw a runner out. Quiet set-up. 2.04 pop time.
3/15/18
vs Woodside HS - Good solid frame, showed a lot of promise as a receiver and could throw better if he stops gaining so much ground with his feet before he throws. The release and transfer are good. Offensively he lacked use of his backside and tends to swing with arms only. Approach and mechanics need to improve but he's got size and some good things as a catcher. Starter on solid high school team as a freshman.
