Event: California State Games
Positional Profile
: OF/LHP
Physical
: 5-11, 182-pounds; Lean strength, long legs, wide shoulders, frame to add and hold size and strength as he matures in college. 7.60 runner in the 60, 4.23 30-yard split, 1.86 10-yard split. 28.5" vertical jump.
Offensively: LHH. 92.9 mph max EV, 322’ max estimated distance, 55.6% hard hit% (balls hit over 90 mph), 55.6% sweet spot%, 55.6% line drive%, 24.3 max hand speed, 73.8 max bat speed (71.2 avg), 64.4% on-plane efficiency; Displayed outstanding bat/barrel control both in BP and in game action, ability to use the whole field, keeps front side on the pitch well which allows him to hit left-handed pitching which he displayed in live game action, base-hit getter with smooth flat stroke;
Defensively: 84 mph from OF; clean arm action, athletic actions, plenty of arm strength with ability to threaten baserunners trying to grab an extra base.

PITCHING
Delivery
: Outstanding body control, calm high knee lift to chest height, hands start and stay just above waist until separation, slight cross body stride, stable landing foot, creates leverage over front side with glove arm and chest over the front knee, maintains calm head, athletic and repeatable.

Arm Action: Easy, clean, smooth arm action, compact with minimal elbow flexion, gets to 3/4 release, fairly shallow on backside, maintains arm speed through release and extension (5.9’ on FB).
FB: T77.6 mph, 74.5-77.6 mph velo range. Sinker type FB with ability to consistently work down in the zone, spin works for an average velocity FB to be effective down (2020 avg spin), strike throwing ability with feel for both sides of the plate, works well off his CHG, easy delivery and arm action allow the FB to play up just a bit.
CB: 66-68 mph. Modest spin with fairly small lateral shape (2041 avg spin), release height (4.5’) mimics the FB which allows for tunneling of the two pitches out of the same slot, definitely a CB he can use to get soft contact.
SL: 68-71 mph. Once again same release height as other pitches, slightly more extension with the SL vs CB with a little less spin, presents similarly with traditional SL break (1988 avg spin), smooth action.
CH: 74-75 mph. Heavier CHG that is usable in the lower quadrant of the zone and away from hitter, small movement pattern vs the FB look while coming from same release point/slot/height, has feel for the zone and for the pitch.
