Event: NorCal ProCase
Positional Profile: LHP
Physical: 6-foot-2, 210-pounds; broad build, frame built to handle future size, strength, and muscularity.
Delivery: Hands and legs move simultaneously into a high and wide leg kick. Gets really low on his back leg before driving forward.
Arm Action: Arm goes straight behind back leg when hands break, no reach back, whips arm forward as he strides down the hill. True 3/4 arm slot.
FB: T90.4 mph, 86.8 -  89.1 mph range, 1870 avg spin; Thrives on the arm angle to make batters uncomfortable with tons of horizontal movement from release and some tail.
SL: 77.1 - 79.8 mph, 1780 avg spin; Tunnels the slider off the FB, late break with the same shape until it cuts into the back hip. Showed he can spot on the outside or go back hip against RHH.
CH: 79.3 - 82.3 mph, 1261 avg spin; circle-change grip, tails and dives away from the plate. All three pitches tunnel extremely well, appearance is the same until the ball is 1/4 of the distance from the plate.

5/24/22

at De La Salle; NCS D1 semi-final - St. Mary's commit; Starting pitcher, sturdy body, long sling-ish arm action, arm swings behind back toward SS on backside, 3/4 slot, ball comes out easy if inconsistent with release point due to the challenge of timing with long arm actions, when in slide step the arm action and delivery were more consistent, slider is small with a bit more lateral break vs depth/horizontal break, change-up flashed as potential plus pitch and swing/miss pitch while also showing that his feel for release is still developing. Plenty of talent here, with plenty to work on and improve.
