4/16/19

at Fresno Easter Classic - Lean bodied left-handed hitting middle infielder that shows very good actions defensively to go with a patient and disciplined offensive approach. Hard hit single through the box on a breaking ball he sat back on. Busted out of the box forcing the center fielder to work a little to get the ball in. Shows feel for the barrel with a short, compact attack on the ball. Saldivar showed to be a strong defender with excellent footwork and quick hands with clean exchanges. Turned a double play with ease and in a hurry. Arm is presently average with accuracy.

3/01/19

vs Rocklin - Uncommitted as of this post; average athletic build on 5-foot-9 160-pound frame, talented left-handed hitter, who in this game, showed that same speed/power combo, doubling over the centerfielder's head and also swiping a base. He's not big and the CF was cheating in a bit and as the ball was hit, the immediate thought was... 'got him' as the ball kept carrying and backspinning out of the reach of the outfielder. He later hooked a ball down the 1B line for a knock and also popped up twice when he may have been a little over-anxious, which can come with a player who is aggressive to hit. The bat speed and swing plane are there, to go with that aggressive approach. Defensively nothing much to note, outside of solid actions, 2nd baseman type arm action, good feet. The jump he got on the stolen base was impressive
