Showed good strength from a 6-foot-1, 205-pound frame and a strong feel to hit. The former Washington Husky impressed with easy power and near average bat speed, but did have some length to his swing. Most likely a later Day Two to early Day Three prospect, Corona stood out with EVs into the 110s throughout the tourney and was a solid defender in right field.
Washington commit. Corona had a strong day overall that started with a hand-timed 6.92 60 yard dash. The Washington commit then went on to have one of the louder rounds of BP with line drives to the gaps and a couple of balls over the fence. There’s present pop, particularly to the pull side, in the swing. He shows good balance and feel/control of the barrel. In the outfield he showed a strong, accurate arm.
